Exam format

• 33 multiple-choice questions (4 options, one correct)
• 30 general + 3 about your Bundesland
• 60 minutes
• 17/33 to pass · train for 33/33
• About €25 · German only · at an accredited centre (e.g. VHS)

What you actually study

Your path is 310 questions: 300 nationwide + 10 for your state (not all 460 across every Bundesland). Passbereit loads the full set for your Land.

Mock fidelity (EinbTestV)

Official sheets are unpublished. By law each paper has 33 questions including 3 state questions. Our mocks always use 30 + 3 and balance the 30 across the three curriculum fields: Leben in der Demokratie, Geschichte und Verantwortung, Mensch und Gesellschaft.

Prep tips

• Learn your 10 state questions first — 3 will appear
• Use English help, but read the German — the real exam has no translation
• Mocks under time pressure until you can score full marks, not just 17
